• Macbook Pro! :D

I got a shiny used macbook pro today. It is sweet, and got it for less than a new regular macbook, which is just incredible considering that this is a very high end model, even for the MBP, which I never would've considered getting otherwise. Ever. o_o

Still getting used to OSX (obviously, only had it for about two hours xD) but the transition is pretty smooth overall, since I use macs exclusively in school. It's just the details that I don't fully get, but I'm learning pretty quickly.

Luckily almost all the free software I like is available for macs too. o_o Saves me a lot of trouble that way. And once I figure out more stuff, I'll be trying to get all my windows only programs working, too. (opencanvas cough)

It's really nice compared to my old 8 year old HP Pavilion (duh? :p). I really wish there was a home/end/pgup/pgdn/ins/del thing though, my only gripe so far.

Anyways, it's nice having a laptop again. Makes me happy.

• Art plans!

Alrighty! I haven't updated here in a long time, but I've updated here more recently than anywhere else... Haven't done anything for myself at all =( I hoped to use winter break for personal endeavors but nope, had work, and still have work to do... But at least it'll be an amazing accomplishment for me in the end (I hope!)
Anyway-- once I finish that gig I can set to work on my own plans. I've been wanting to learn comic and storyboarding (as well as animation 2D and so on) but I see a fun and potentially awesome solution for the first two goals-- so I'm gonna make a comic! =) And finally illustrate my zombie story of 2+ years worth of imagining! How exciting (for me), lol
Also I've been cringing at my older works here, so I also hope to rework a lot of them... (I think the ideas then are actually more interesting than mine now. Talk about getting rusty... how sad!)
And I'm still sad that there isn't a Mac equivalent of Easytoons-- but I want to do animation, so there WILL be some kind of animation coming up. (Man, I just can't WAIT to spend an hour in front of my horrendous scanner... bleh.)

Anyway... I really don't have much time anymore-- I feel incredibly busy, and a lot of that has to do with really bad time management. I need to get my gears going and stop slacking... !
So yeah-- there are some art goals... And among them, I hope to find time to make speedpaints and whatnot (though I don't think I can afford to make fanart anymore, I can't use them for portfolios... lol) =( and then I can put them up on DA, blogspot, and here ! And the comic can go on smackjeeves or something I guess. I finally got used to the concept of individually replying to each comment here-- I was used to replying to all the comments at once in one comment to minimize the comment count (plus the single reply thing always used to glitch on me) but yeah... I think it should work now.

Alright, end of huge ramble. I'm excited for my goals.. hope I don't slack off and never get around to it... arrrg!
